“Jonesworthy”
Squat: 80, 64, 48, 32, 24, 12
KB Swing: 40, 32, 24, 16, 12, 6
Pull-up: 20, 16, 12, 8, 6, 3

First round is: 80x Squats, 40x KBS, 20x Pull-up
Second round is: 64x Squats, 32x KBS, 16x Pull-up
Etc.

Some important announcements:
9/4 – No Free Saturday Workout
9/6 – Open Gym from 9-11am, all regular classes closed
9/25 – No Free Saturday Workout due to hosting the Olympic Certification

  5. Cool picture! Workout sounds scary. I’m with you Lisa, I don’t know how I’m going to do the pullups with hurt hands. Mine didn’t rip during the wod last night but I got a huge blister that I had to pop and clip off. I forgot how painful they can be. So Lisa, did you end up going? If so, how was it? I’m thinking maybe I can go if I just use a bigger band for the pullups. We’ll see.

    Anyone have any exciting plans for the holiday weekend? Oh, and Mel, I loved Inception! So good and freaky!

    • Workout is challenging, especially since my (our) hands are pretty much raw from all the pullups this week. It was a fun one though. You are right about the bigger band. I used an extra band for the pullups, which helped a lot! I think my time was 21:21.

        I taped my hands and used an extra band — both of which definitely helped a lot! My time was 22:30. Good workout 5:30!

    • So sorry Lindsey just saw this no I did not do the workout my hands I was afraid could not handle it I had 1 rip on the right and 2 on the left. Although I felt really guilty for not going!!!

    Nice way to end the week. I’m so glad I did all those squats before sitting on a plane. Awesome. On the bright side, college football is back. I hate Ohio State and USC almost as much as Oklahoma. For this weekend: TCU and Boise both lose and ESPN can stop talking about Boise State’s elite status.

    subbed a different WOD: 21-15-9 of 225# back squats and ring dips. 3 min’s rest. Then 5 rounds: 5 power clean @ 135# and 20 double unders. Immediately into 1 mile run. 26:21 RX, the weather makes the WOD’s so much nicer than in the normal TX heat!

  11. one step fw: two steps back. last night i had a PB with Kip PU’s and DUnders – then tonight i just flat out sucked. no energy. but 5:30am Bikram didnt help that factor.
    oh well. at least i’m trying to move fw.
