To celebrate, we are going to go on a pub crawl of Deep Ellum after Friday night’s classes. Everyone is welcome to attend, we will meet at the gym at 7:30 to plan our route. Hope to see you all there!

    This one is deceptively tough. I was ready to be done about round 3. 6 rounds is wicked.

    Love the picture today, it made me smile as I looked up the workout before dragging myself out of bed. I really could have used some more sleep before attempting this one. 25# with substitution (kipping pull-ups and purple band on dips) 21:50.

    You know it’s a great gym when Eric can not only help you with your snatch but throw in some life lessons along the way. And I quote, “Wait til it gets to your pocket. You gotta be patient to improve your snatch. It’s also good in life too.” Thanks for the help in and out of the gym, Yoda.

  11. Stewart – please return all towels! WOD was really tough! 26:12 with 35# kettlebells no band on pull-ups but purple on last couple dips…and agree 3 rounds would have been hard 6 was a coach having a bad day when schedule was made

  14. wow this was tough! 24:12 25# and blue bands on pull ups and dips… have to conquer the fear of heights before trying a muscle up haha.

    Also just wanted to say that this summer has been so much fun meeting such a wonderful and supportive community at CFDE. Thanks for everything, hope to see ya’ll at the pub crawl. :)

    Just found out that there are 4 spots left for the Olympic Weightlifting Certs we are hosting in September. It is a 2 day event instructed by Coach Burgener, one of the best Olympic Coaches in the world. He will be assisted by Josh Everett and other CrossFit beasts. This is an amazing opportunity to be able to go to a Cert at your own gym so if you were thinking about attending one eventually, grab one of these last spots

  17. This is a very sad day- I have officially been blocked from the blog at work. It’s not quite as fun posting from my phone. :( That’s sad that Imelda is leaving too. I hope to make it to the pub crawl if I am well by then. Can’t seem to shake this stupid sore throat.

    Props to all of you who did 3 pullups and 3 dips. That made this particular workout a beast. Muscleups definitely made this one faster.

    This was tough…I’m still really uncoordinated with all the bands I have to use, but I finished in what seemed like forever 32.19. Still trying to figure out the kip on pullups too. Ha, guess I’ll just have to keep practicing!
