I figured I’d post an update on how Amanda’s ultimate team, Showdown, is doing at Worlds in Prague. They won their starting pool pretty easily, going 3-0 beating teams from Germany, England, and Denmark by double digits. That placed them in a power pool where they went 4-1, losing only to another American team called Brute Squad.
Unfortunately in the first round of the championship bracket today they were knocked out by a team from Germany. Looks like Amanda is playing pretty well, she’s fourth on the team in goals scored in this tourney.

oh well, if they win out, they’ll finish in 9th place. Not a bad showing at all.
Too bad my bod woke up a little too rickety this morning. This WOD would’ve been kinda fun. Oh well, a rest day was in order.
And Brian, I think we may have to find a red carpet to roll out for Amanda when she retruns. She is way too cool for school. Glad to hear her team whooped up.
On a side note….Ingrid Michaelson is playing with Keane (headliner) on Monday, July 26th at House of Blues. There’s a ticket deal if you buy four tickets at a time. They’re $26.25 each instead of $35 or $45.
