Found this in an article I was reading today, made me laugh at how some people view the paleo / crossfit group -
A story that ran in the New York Times in January provided what may be the perfect expression of the new conservative sensibility. It described the daily adventures of the “paleos” or “urban cavemen,” a group of diet faddists who try to recapture the vitality of our prehistoric ancestors. They do strange exercises, eat lots of meat, and shun bronze-age affectations such as bread. It’s every man for himself. And if you want a piece of the mammoth, you’d better get to work.
Just researched low bar back squat, and I am excited to give it a try. An extra bonus: I’m nearly guaranteed not to hit my chin/head.
165# – Russell, Eric and Koy thanks for all your help and pointers!
Koy/Eric are belts permissable today?
Chris, you can feel free to use a belt on your maximal attempts.
