is that Tom or Frankenstein’s monster?
6:02 @285lbs – alas no muscleups and i needed a purple band for the last few dips – although i did 6 more to compensate.
a question for you seasoned crossfit guys and gals:
at what point do you stop feeling like you have been in a car accident the day after a work out? it will be a glorious morning when i wake up and don’t feel like i need a Rascal Scooter to get around.
Tom looks as if he is trying to kill something by throwing a med ball at it – I also believe he may be in the lead on this paleo challenge although I have not seen every contestant since the Jan 4th weigh in….he has to be way up on the list
Jeez Patrick. @alaynamac, Patrick is half correct. We have a little saying that goes “it doesn’t get easier, it just gets heavier and faster.” Although it’s funny and somewhat true I will say that rarely do I ever get as sore as the first couple of months I did CrossFit. Your body will acclimate and recover better from most workouts after several weeks. There are workouts that we do every so often, like the 10 minutes of air squats that will make you very sore. We only do these sorts of workouts every once in a while for this reason. Also, when I do get sore, it is usually my own fault for doing things I shouldn’t. For instance, doing a really tough workout and then going out drinking with friends, doing a really tough workout and then eating bad food, or doing a really tough workout and then staying up all night playing video games. So to answer your questions, yes, there will be a point when you can wake up without feeling like a freight truck broadsided you going 80mph. Will you ever get hit by that freight truck again? Yes, probably.

It does get better after a while. What’s a while? I’ve been here two months and it’s settled down quite a bit.
alayna, i have been doing it a year and a half and still feel that way. especially after the 10 min wod of squats. couldnt walk straight for a week.
